"Uncaring attitude"

About: Wexham Park Hospital

My son who has mild learning difficulties attended A and E approx 1am on Saturday night.

In considerable pain with a ear infection.

Whilst I appreciate he had been seen by a GP that afternoon, and given antibiotics, no one at A and E him any advice on what painkillers to take just sent him home after 4 and half hours telling him they are not GPs.

I do not complain about the wait. Just the attitude of people who told him he should not have come and allow him to drive home alone,

He didn't want to,phone me.

He likes to be independent.

How would I and perhaps your staff feel if he was in danger, driving home in snow, and having an accident or breakdown .

Not good service, but in the past you have been much more helpful.

Please don't let standards slip.
