"My boyfriend was a patient at ..."

About: Clatterbridge Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My boyfriend was a patient at Clatterbridge, and despite his contacting me from the hospital on more than one occassion, when trying to find out how he was getting on I was told they had no record of him!! WHY LIE?

Patient privacy aside, is there really any need to mislead concerned relatives and friends when all you are trying to do is ask after the ailing person. Come on Clatterbridge catch up!!

What could be improved

When enquiring after a patient, unless he/she has requested no contact, there should not be any need for any member of staff to lie about the presence or not of the patient concerned

Anything else?

When someone you know is in hospital, you are obviously concerned for them, it is human nature. It is never a good idea for to have people try to pull the wool over your eyes, especially at times like this!!!!!
