"Amazing experience!"

I've been meaning to post a review and only just got around to it! We had our beautiful daughter end of October and went straight into the midwife led unit where were put in a wonderful room with birthing pool. From the moment we arrived we were treated brilliantly and were made to feel relaxed given the circumstances of being in labour! There were two midwives in particular who stood out and made us feel like we were the only people in the unit. With this being my first I obviously didn't know what to expect and was quite scared but the midwives just made it all feel calm and relaxed. They treated us like old friends rather than another couple having another baby. We were lucky to have a text book delivery however had it of gone differently I have every confidence the treatment would have been excellent as well. It took us a long time to fall pregnant due to underlying issues and so this was a fabulous end to a long and testing journey. Well done to Lister maternity unit - I always rave about you (as you're not local to us) and would urge anyone to go there to have their baby!
