In short: the hospital is badly managed I don't know if because they are understaffed or very disorganised but really had very bad experience with the hospital.
In details: had a broken finger so visited A&E on a Saturday night. After the xray, the nurse told me that there is no doctor to see me (!!) so the nurse attached my finger themselves and told me to come back the next day (and said that this is unusual! So i think as it was Saturday night the doctor didn't want to bother so told the nurse to tell me to come back the next day!!). The next day i waited for 3 hours in A&E (again! And when I asked the nurse why am I waiting, they were so unfriendly!). The doctor then told me that i need a surgery in 2 weeks and then kept me in the room for a hour for a nurse to attach my finger... (That nurse never show up) so another one who needed the room, fixed my finger (at that time I didn't know how important it was to fix the finger correctly in order to heal, i could have avoided the surgery) obviously the other nurse did it wrongly.
I received a letter appointing my surgery and to be there at 7am, only to find out that everyone was told to come at 7, so my turn for surgery was at 2pm (!!!) in the meantime i was kept in the bed waiting for my turn (don't they have a proper schedule for the surgery on a day? Why making the patient wait that long??). Before the surgery a doctor came to explain to me what they would be doing. Once i was admited to the operating room, i found out that it was another doctor that was going to operate me. Everyone was ready to start and i was told i'll have a general anesthetic, just before starting to operate the doctor suggested they do an xray before... only to tell me that actually I don't need a surgery (!!!!!!!) why the doctor didn't do the xray in the morning?? I waisted a full day of work waiting for 7hours and psychologically ready for anesthetic and to be operated... to do nothing at the end.... even the nurses couldn't believe it!
I was told that they will see me in a week to reassess how it is healing and another appointment in a month for therapy... so i received a letter for a appointment in... 1 month for therapy (didn't bother seeing me after a week) and now my finger actually still look weird, i wish i did the surgery!
That is the example of a very bad hospital. Read and learn!
