For The Governors of Hawkhurst Community Hospital
My mother, Phyllis, was brought to Hawkhurst for rehabilitation. She was initially taken to Pembury Hospital after a terrible fall at home. This once strongly independent 93 year old lady was badly hurt and her confidence dramatically shaken.
The nursing and auxiliary staff at Hawkhurst could not have been better. They demonstrated compassionate care and support and always seemed to have time to attend to her needs.
My wife and I want to say a particular thank you to the occupational and physio therapists. They were truly compassionate and went to great lengths to successfully rehabilitate my mother. We were amazed at the dramatic improvements they achieved.
In this day and age it is wonderful to find such fantastic people who demonstrate a desire to understand and care for fellow human beings.
Great job!
Thank you all so much.
Mike
