"I was admitted to a/e with a serious ..."

About: Fairfield General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was admitted to a/e with a serious compound fracture to my left leg, all staff from the paramedics to a/e staff and ward 9 where I was eventually admitted to were excellent. All staff were friendly caring and very professional at all times. My husband was kept up to date with what would be happening at all times. The staff on ward 9 were excellent and worked exceptionally hard, sometimes under staffed. The Consultant was fantastic and through their care and hard work piecing me back together I am now up and walking with ease, could have been quite a different story at one point as I could have lost my foot . I'd like to thank the Consultant.

On being discharged from the hospital, I was given an aftercare team - Nurse, physio - amazing they were great.

Anything else?

From being admitted into the hospital to leaving I can not fault anything. Ongoing at Outpatients, the outpatient clinic the nursing staff and the Consultant's registrars are excellent and will spend time answering any concerns you may have.
