What I liked
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2008 This came as a dreadful shock. The breast care nurse, was excellent. Originally I asked to go private but was told the consultant did not do private work and I could be referred to someone else. I decided to stay with him and the NHS. I was admitted to a private room on Cherry Ward, it seems all mastectomy patients have their own room. This was excellent. The nursing staff were all absolutely wonderful. Everyone made me feel special, not just another patient. I cannot praise the staff high enough.
What could be improved
the only improvement could have been some of the food. One day I was forgotten about and landed up with something pretty awful. As I was hungry I tried to eat it!
