What I liked

I was their for treatment in Children MAU and the nurse advised me very strongly to go to A&E myself for chest pain, turned out my daughter had severe laringitis and I had, chest, water and kidney infections and pluresy - if it wasn't for the nurse I would of ended up very very ill.

What could be improved

Maybe some nurses need to be a little more sympathetic during the night shift, I was asked very rudely why I was there, when the nurse could of read my notes, sure, I wasnt dying but my heart rate was more than double the average for my age and health.

Anything else?

Signage is a bit daunting at first could maybe be made clearer.

Cleaning was always going on, A&E needs to update with rest of hospital though.

In response to your comments about the design of the Emergency Department, this area is being updated as part of the third phase of the redevelopment of Queen Alexandra Hospital, which is due to be completed by the summer of this year.
