"I cannot fault the care and attention I received"

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Acute Emergency Ward at the hospital in between Christmas and new year. I can honestly say I have never been so ill and I don't mind admitting quite scared. I was having difficulty breathing, vomiting, a little confused and had severe headaches.

I was seen to immediately by a very kind young nurse called Mo, who did initial tests on me and showed me to a bed. From there on, I was examined by Drs who diagnosed pneumonia and I was treated on the ward for four days.

The nurses were amazing and very kind but also very professional. The workload on this ward for all of the medical staff is immense, every patient presenting with a multitude of symptoms and ailments 24/7. Despite this pressure, the staff were always thorough and efficient as well as kind and caring.

I am writing to say a big thank you to everyone on the ward who helped to make me well and cared for me during that time. I shall bring in a token of my thanks when I am feeling well enough, I am very, very grateful. The NHS is truly amazing I cannot fault the care and attention I received.
