"Told to leave"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Last week I came into Redhill emergency room as I was having terrible symptoms and the woman at the emergency reception after I explained the problem I was experiencing asked if I had been to a gp and when I explained they were not open and it had only just began. I was  told to leave and go to a walk in clinic because they did not believe it was not a real emergency. I was very upset and felt like I was not being taken seriously

Dear unhappy visitor

Not knowing the ins and outs of your case it is hard to respond. I am sorry that the department did not meet your expectations. I am happy to discuss this in more detail if you contact me on nicola.shopland@sash.nhs.uk

kind regards

Nicola
