"Mandala Centre Visit - Do the staff care for their clients?"

About: Community Forensic Services / Community forensic team

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Posted by The Involvement Team.

This feedback was posted to us to post on behalf of a carer.

First Impressions Count? Do the staff care for their clients? Out of date literature litter the tables in an unorganised 'don't care approach'?

Advice leaflets not available in English. e. g. PALS etc. 'BluTack' thick on the walls indicate staff don't care. Where's the fire extinguisher at the call point exit?

Sign: 'Trust Quality Procedures' 2013-14. Are these up to date? Were they acheived? Are there new targets?

Why has my partner waited over a year for an appointment? Why have I received no help with her care resulting in myself becoming ill?

What are we funding if the service is slow to react to the needs of the patient or carer's?

Is it budget cuts or/and overpriced services that fails the people it is supposed to help?

I would like to thankyou for your feedback.

I have forwarded your concerns in regard to your experience in the reception area at the Mandala Centre to the Team Leader and asked that this be dealt with as a priority.

In regards to your concerns in relation to waiting times and support for yourself as a cerer, if you would like to contact me via the Mandala centre contact number, I would be happy to discuss this with you further.
