In early 2014, I was admitted to Ninewells in severe pain, my condition was quickly diagnosed as life threatening. I subsequently spent 6 to 7 months, mostly in Ward 11, but I also had significant spells in and out of HDU.
My experience was one of feeling exceptionally lucky to have ended up in a place with the staff to deal with my complicated condition.
The dedication, professionalism and level of care from all of the staff was outstanding, the paramedics, the ward assistants, the nurses, the doctors, registrars and consultants I feel, gave a level of care that was truly fantastic.
I found the staff to be approachable, humorous, caring and willing to go the extra mile for me, all the qualities to aid recovery.
I will always be indebted to the brilliant staff on those two wards - Thank You!
