The entire Team at the Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre demonstrates exceptional Patient focus.

From first contact, through the pre-admission assessment and into the day of surgery itself, everyone involved is keenly interested in keeping the Patient informed as to exactly what is happening at the time.

Thus there are no surprises at any stage, and, therefore, the procedure is performed with the minimum of fuss.

All Team Members have an open, friendly and often humorous approach, which has the positive effect of distracting the Patient from the actual mechanics of what is required to be done. The practicalities are discussed with absolute professionalism, I personally was very confident that the Consultant Surgeon understood exactly what was needed, the anaesthetists described their role and its effects/benefits ahead of the procedure (including the use of ultrasound at the site of the operation to reduce subsequent pain etc.) and the Theatre staff made me feel welcome, calm and comfortable as they prepared me.

Post operation, the recovery was very well managed, I can assure that the quality of the Tea is first rate!

In addition to the above, as my wife is no longer with us, every effort was made to accommodate my two adult daughters who acted as taxi and chaperone. Especial thanks for this.

In the days following the procedure, the supplied medication for pain relief was largely not needed, and any discomfort quickly reduced.

Shepton Mallet Treatment Centre is a Model place in which to undergo the straightforward surgery I needed, from personal experience I would highly recommend anyone to book them.
