"Supportive care from the staff at Cumberland Infirmary"

My Father was admitted to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle in the early hours of a Sunday morning. The staff had obviously had a very busy night. Unfortunately my father died not long after he arrived. As a family I would like to thank the staff nurse and Doctor for their approach to informing us as a family about our loss. The staff nurse was so good with us all and gave us time and showed great empathy. This meant such a lot to us. Often we only hear the negative things that happen in a hospital. Although the out come was very sad, it was a positive experience.
