"Excellent service"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

I was admitted for varicose vein surgery on the Wednesday and had the surgery on the Thursday afternoon. I was allowed home on the Friday. I found that the staff on the whole ward were lovely. From the nurses the doctors the trainee doctors, the anaesthetist, even the cleaners and the people who served the food!

Everyone was so nice. I was a bit scared and they all set my fears at rest. I was a bit unwell and they were there for me. There was no doubt that these people worked so hard but they were always gentle and had a kind word.

People are so quick to criticise when things go wrong but things go right every single minute of every single day and these people are not given the recognition they truly deserve.
