"The staff at the hospital were amazing"

Having nervously gone in for a knee replacement, I did not meet any staff that made me feel worse. They were all so helpful from the consultant to the cleaner.

Every request was dealt with efficiently and respectfully. At one point, I was most surprised that a member of staff had only been there three weeks, because it did not show in their manner at all.

I have to give a special mention to the theatre team as they all had such a great sense of humour, even when I decided to pass out in the middle of the epidural procedure. Like everything else my imagination was far worse than the reality.

How the staff stay sane though when they are constantly short of equipment is beyond me. Beds, pillows and trolleys seem to be like gold dust. But they still found the time to deliver a cup of tea or find a sandwich for a late arrival.

I wanted to leave the hospital as quickly as possible but that was more due to the temperature of the ward, which I found stifling as I do not deal with heat well. But the actual stay could not have been more pleasant. So thank you very much everyone.
