I visited A&E on Thursday 7th January suffering from severe back pain. It was explained to me by the reception staff that they were very busy and I might have to wait. I was seen by the triage nurse quite promptly, but had a slightly longer wait to see a doctor. Which was totally understandable.
When I did see the consultant they were professional, kind and compassionate, just what you need when you feel incoherent due to pain and anxiety.
