"Long waiting times"

About: Altrincham General Hospital

Been waiting 45 mins for an appointment. It is like this regularly. Waiting time has just been updated to a hour. This is for a scheduled appointment not A&E.

Leave plenty of time for your appointment of booking time off work to attend!

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience was not as positive as we would hope during your visit to the Dermatology Department at Altrincham Hospital.

In response to your comment, I can tell you that the Trust regularly audits waiting times in outpatient clinics and is committed to ensuring patients are kept waiting no longer than 30 minutes for an outpatient appointment. However, on occasions some consultations can take longer than expected, which can lead to a delay and clinic waiting times increasing. If delays are experienced we expect our staff to explain why and apologise. Please accept our apologies for the delay you experienced and if the reason for the delay was not explained to you.

If you would like to discuss your concerns regarding the delay you experienced with us in more detail, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk
