"treatment of an elderly patient"

About: New Cross Hospital

My nan has been nearly 3 weeks the 1st 2 days wasn't given any food or fluids or even her own medication on the SAU ward no information was given as to what was happening. Xmas eve we were told she would need a procedure to remove gallstones and investigation on a new problem. Up until this week no one we spoke to could tell us what was happening or when and then when we do get told something it's all wrong. Procedure should have been done yesterday and so no food given her but sent down to have a biopsy done and so wasn't given food when she could have been. The nursing staff in both wards have no time for the patients and visitors even have problems trying to get in have problems as they can't even open the door can take 4 or 5 rings. The sheets that's are at the end of the bed showing what fuilds they've had and activity done aren't completely properly we were visiting from 7 till 8 and the nurse came picked up the form didn't speak and put she had been to the toilet at 7 when I asked my nan she said last time she went was at 5 is there any point to just fabricating what's happened on these forms ? I thought nurses were there to show compassion and care I haven't seen any of this with my nan.
