My dad has been in Watford General since Tuesday with a suspect growth. He has not been given any other pain relief other than paracetamol because they don't know what they are dealing with. They have promised time and time again scans, biopsy etc etc and now they have informed him none of that will happen until next week but he can't go home. If this is as serious as they suspect it is then something should have been done. They have not factored in the amount of weight he has lost since this all started...the skin is literally hanging from his bones now and this isn't serious enough?
This all started at the begining of December and his GP let him down by mis-diagnosing him and giving him antibiotics that inflamed and irritated the growth 3 times.
I understand that the NHS is short staffed and underpaid but when it is a loved one clearly deteriating in front of your eyes you don't care about that. Service and duty of care for health care professionals should always be number 1.
I hope that this finds its way to the correct people.
"poor quality heath care for me father"
