"All the nursing staff on TAU were ..."

About: Northern General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

All the nursing staff on TAU were fantastic! Very friendly, exeptionally professional even when stressed. Nothing was too much bother for anyone, what an amazing group of people. I was in the ward for a week & not once did I even hear a raised voice. There were a couple of 'difficult' patients whilst i was there & the nurses were just brilliant in handling these patients & deserve a medal for what they do. It made the stay much more bareable knowing that the nurses really do care & listen to us. The level of care was second to none on this ward I would like to say a massive thank you to every one.

What could be improved

All the nurses were brilliant but there were a couple of days when they were extreemly short staffed. This must put pressure & stress on them which is not good for anyone let alone for nurses that are caring for people that demand alot of attention purely because they are so very ill.

Anything else?

The food as ever was not very nice at all. In the TAU you dont even get a choice of food, no menu or anything. I understand that the majority of patients move onto other wards but I was here for a week! This was the only complaint really & I just got all my visitors to bring me edible food although you shouldnt really have to do this.
