"recent emergency appointment"

About: St Mary's Hospital (Newport)

Just before Christmas I had an emergency GP referral for a breast cancer scare, negative thank goodness. Needless to say I was terrified. But staff and treatment in both the hospital clinic and the mammogram unit were superb. I felt comfortable, assured and well supported. Staff were thorough and very kind. I was very grateful.

I wanted to say this over the phone, but despite a number of calls to the general phone number, over two days and at different times of day, no one ever answered the phone.

Many Thanks for posting this positive feedback about the Trusts services, I was pleased to read that your results were negative, and appreciate that this must have been a stressful time for you, so I was pleased to read that you had a positive experience of our services.

I am sorry you had not been able to speak to a member of staff personally, but please be assured I have passed on your comments to the teams involved.
