"Excessive waiting times"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Had to wait over one hour for a regular blood test yet again. This happens all the time and there are gaps in the service when there does not appear to be anyone working at all. More staff are needed to cope with the large number of patients waiting. Blood tests used to be done in the Rheumatology clinic, but that seems to be not done any longer.

The waiting area is tiny and there are not enough seats for everyone. It gets very stuffy and claustrophobic.

I dread having to go there, as I know it will be an unacceptable experience once more

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and I am sorry to hear about your experience. We are aware of ongoing issues within the Phlebotomy department and are working hard to resolve them to ensure our patients receive the very best care and treatment. If you would like to contact pals.service@wmuh.nhs.uk to provide more details, we can look in to this further.

Kind regards,

Sarah Davenport
