Currently visiting a dear friend on Ward 9.
NHS Professionals staff - fabulous!
Consultants - fabulous!
NHS employed professionally qualified ward based staff (i.e. staff nurses, senior staff nurses (never seen the sister or matron) - shocking!!
NHS employed ward based Support staff (those I have encountered) helpful, supportive, willing, not to mention abled and caring and could give the professionals a run for their money.
1. Why? Is it that every single time I visit there are remains on my friends table of half eaten or uneaten food that has clearly been there a couple of hours and would not be fit to eat even if they were hungry! 2. Why? When my friend requires some attention it takes an age for staff to come and see what they need (not the support staff they are on it and do what they are able to do within their remit!)! 3. Why? Do the professional staff seem to think it is ok to speak to my friend as though they are a piece of dirt! 4. Why? Do the professional staff seem to think it is ok to leave my friend agitated when they are in some discomfort until the lower grade of staff return from their break before anything it done.
"Hello. My name is....." not a chance on this ward. So many questions!
Equality, Diversity, Respect! Show me!
"My rant on Ward Staff and their attitude - it..."
