"Outpatient treatment"

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

On 28th Dec I was advised by the doctor at 111 to go to outpatients at the hospital for an eye infection. As I have mental health problems I find it difficult when it comes to stigma related to physical problems .

5 times the doctor asked me if this was self inflicted .It was not! It is about time Doctors listened instead of making assumptions about those of us with mental health problems. We do have physical problems from time to time!

Dear Jacquie

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I am sorry to read that you didn't feel listened to by the doctor and felt they were making assumptions about you and your condition.

I'm going to pass your review onto the lead doctor for the area so that we can learn from what's happened and make improvements for the future.

I wish you all the best for 2016 Kind Regards Claire Marshall

Head of Patient Experience
