What I liked
i discharged myself swiftly after an op thankfully!
What could be improved
i was in the labour ward and there was nothing i liked. My bed was smotherd in blood once i got it, i never recived any water i asked for the staff where rude ,wasnt kept in the loop, left on my own , the anethisatist was awfuly rude and caused me uneccessary amounts of pain, my personal belongings went missing when i had to be taken to broomfield and where in the locker provided and mysteriously no one knew where anything had gone even though they had moved my bed, i eneded up going home in the clothes i came in with, the ward once you have given birth i found staff rude and inconsiderate , i had a emergency c-sec and found when i pressed the buzzer as i couldent reach my child it took them over 10 mins to come. overall i was disgusted with the service and vow never to return to the labour ward in st johns , the more ditressing thing is that this is the midwifery training hospital-also while i was in labour i had put in my birth plan i wanted only the neccessary people in the room no students and for the reason this was a nidwifery hospital the nurse said this was not my choice and this was my first child and already had been a labour over 2 days, im very very unhappy for the way i was treated and believe it was partly why i suffered post natel depression. also my notes where lost on numerous occasions and i had to tell them the blanks while i was labouring
Anything else?
dirty - unclean - rude i came away extreamly upset by my experience and worse of after my belongings went 'missing' i had no shoes to go home in!!! even thjinking about it now really upsets me , its meant to be the happiest day of my life and that was ruined.
