After deciding I needed an ear problem looked at I was relieved to find I could attend Ely without making an appointment.......I live in Newmarket and we have no such local facility now. Booking in was simple and the staff very pleasant. There was a wait of about 45 minutes to see the practitioner, alongside others who were waiting for out of hours GP service, but no worse than a wait at my own surgery on occasions. The practitioner was thorough and supremely professional, listening to what I thought might be wrong and confirming with a prompt diagnosis and appropriate prescription. All in all a thoroughly reassuring experience vastly superior to previous engagement with the 111 service in Suffolk. I have no hesitation recommending this service to anyone with a real need. The website highlights conditions than can be consulted for at the unit which is a good steer. Free parking, easy access and good signage all add to a positive service user experience.
