About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

I would like to say I have never felt so angry and upset by the way a doctor spoke to me and my partner at adenbrooks hospital when we came for his opperation. First of all the doctor did not explain properly what the procedure was, what they would do, and the benefits also when I asked them to repeat what they said they were very snappy and made me feel really upset. We were left in adenbrooks with no after care and no one properly came and checked if my partner was ok. So upsetting. The nurse's on the ward where very nice though.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent experience.

I am sorry to learn that you and your partner were upset by the communication from the doctor you saw, and that you felt let down by the care after the operation.

We would be pleased to look into this further for you and respond to you personally if you could provide some additional details.

I would be grateful if you could contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01223 216756 or email pals@addenbrookes.nhs.uk and we will be pleased to help.

I am glad that you received kind care from the nursing staff, and I hope that your partner is recovering well now.
