spoke to a member of staff in dermatology asked to change my appointment as my appointment is on the day of my birthday. I originally had No plans for my birthday but change of plan I decided to do something and in result wanted to cancel my appointment. I was told by the member of staff that I should of been aware it was my birthday, which I explained obviously I was aware as it falls on the same day every year, however how rude of them to actually dare to comment on my change of circumstances. I am free to do as I please in regards to celebrating my birthday. The member of staff then went on to tell me that if everyone else actually bothered to cancel there appointments on time perhaps there would be more available appointments. I then suggested that perhaps they should keep their opinion to themself as I was finding it rather offensive that they were giving me such a hard time about wanting to reschedule an appointment. I was left feeling extremely dissatisfied as it has taken over a year to even be referred to this department to be treated in such a disgusting manor. The receptionist also told me that the hospital is like a ghost town from 4pm onwards and that my call at 4:30 was pointless. I work every day until 7pm to pay into this system to be treated like this
"very rude unfriendly"
