I went to A&E on Sat evening around 7.30 pm I was advised to go there by my GP for treatment .
The waiting room was quiet but I seen within 10 minutes by the nurse to give a brief outline of my condition extreme pain from kidney stones..one was on the move..
The triage nurse took my observations and could not have been more attentive ,intelligent and caring .
I was assessed by the duty registrar and moved to majors suite made comfortable and cannula fitted .
The whole process took less than an hr which I was very impressed by.
I was given pain killers and soon seen by the doctor who recommended a CT scan, unfortunately it was unavailable until the next morning,as my condition could be controlled I was allowed home and returned as planned on Sunday am at 9 am
I met the charge nurse and urologist and within an hr I had my scan completed by very friendly staff and soon after admitted to the Bibury ward for observations of the desending kidney stone.
My bed was ready, clean and everyone on the ward knew of my arrival.
The nurses continued to take observations and i saw the urologist specialist within a couple of hrs who explained the whole situation and what treatment I was to receive.
I left the Ward Sunday evening reassured that all was well by the consultant and with a pain treatment regime
