(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter had a knee injury and within a couple of days became ill. I took her to out of hours doctors and they sent her to children's unit at the Heartlands Hospital to where tests was carried out.

Within a couple of hours my daughter was taken for a knee flush and test, coming back where she was seriously ill (strep a pvl phenomenon along with bone infection).

After a long 3 months in hospital, my daughter was allowed home. Thank you to all the staff on ward 15 & 16, for all the care and professional team work. My daughter has made a good recovery.

thank you so much for your post regarding your daughter's admission and treatment at Heartlands Hospital Paediatrics department.

I'm so pleased to learn that following an extended 3 month stay in hospital, which must have been very worrying for you as a concerned parent, that your daughter has made a good recovery. I'm sure that all of your family are delighted that your daughter is now finally home and resuming normal life!

I will ensure that your comments and feedback is highlighted to Julie Rowland, Ward Manager for Wards 15 and 16, as well as to Amee Denyer, Matron for Paediatric Services who will be thrilled to read your feedback and ensure that it is communicated to all of the Paediatric team.

I hope this is acceptable and thank you once again for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is extremely important to us.

Yes please do as Julie was one that had looked after my daughter along with other members of the team and would like the team to know how much we appreciated the work and care.
