I've just had a cholecystectomy which unfortunately had some minor complications (this was my fault entirely because I lived with the symptoms for nigh on 2 years before doing something about it and it was all a bit manky).
The consultant and their team, were superb in every respect.
They were extremely professional, informative and personable so I went into theatre without any concerns at all.
Even though I was informed of the complication and that I had to be kept in overnight, I was made aware of the facts at all times.
Whilst on the ward all the staff were friendly, efficient and couldn't do enough for me. They knew there stuff too.
As promised, the drain was removed and I'm now sat with a nice dose of morphine waiting for my wife to come and pick me up.
I am delighted with my treatment and have nothing but the utmost respect and admiration for everyone who looked after me.
Thank you so much everyone at Hexham Hospital and Happy Christmas.
