I have recently been fitted with hearing aids by your Audiology department and have nothing but praise for the services provided.

Being aged 50, I was referred via my GP to the audiology department and the NNUH ENT Outpatients clinic. I was seen by a consultant in the evening, the consultation was clear and focussed on me and how my hearing impairment impacted on me as a person. I was quickly (within 7 days) the referred to the Audiology Clinic where my needs were discussed in a friendly but professional manner which was, once again focussed on what I wanted rather than what the Hospital policy is. Two days later I was fitted with two digital hearing aids with open-ear fittings.

The level of care that I received was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations of an NHS hospital. I found the whole process from referral to treatment centred around me as an individual rather than a “number” The evening clinics also minimised the impact on my work.
