"Ward 77 / Neurology"

About: Royal Manchester Children's Hospital

My son Jude was admitted to ward 77 following a medical emergency, during his stay he suffered a number of seizures. Most of the nursing staff provided excellent care during his stay. Two nurses stood out as exceptional and worked well under pressure. From the moment they introduced who they were and how they conducted their duties, it was clear that they had experience and I was confident if I needed them they could deal with the situation.

One Nurse - was exceptional in providing care during clusters of seizures, they reacted well under pressure and provided information to family and sought help in a timely manner when needed.

Another Nurse - who works on ward 77, once again provided exceptional care for Jude during clusters of seizures. Their approach towards family and Jude made us feel confident that is a competent nurse.

The doctor - A remarkable person who clearly has the respect of many doctors, nurses and parents. Their interventions and care plan are well thought out and explained. A very busy doctor who made time to come and check on Jude daily. I have the utmost respect for this doctor and we have been very lucky in having them overseeing the medical intervention plans for Jude.
