"Husband's experience of being treated at A&E -..."

My husband was taken ill very quickly it was suspected with a stroke.

From being initially treated by the ambulance staff to the staff at the hospital he was treated with the utmost respect.

I too was treated with respect and was fully informed throughout the 6 hours we were there.

I was amazed at the speed at which my husband was seen and the high level of care he received. I was even more amazed at the video link consultation between staff and the neurologist at York.

Fortunately, my husband did not have a stroke.

Due to the length of time I was in A&E I was able to observe other patient staff interaction and observed a busy dept in which the staff were all in good spirits and dealt with each patient with dignity.

I cant praise the staff at Scarborough's A&E dept enough.
