"Emergency Admission/Admission to Richmond Ward"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) (London)

I was admitted to Richmond ward for observation and investigations for suspected angina recently.

I was treated with dignity and kindness.

The staff were excellent and very patient orientated and both A@E and Richmond Ward were clean and felt like a safe space particularly when anxious about being ill.

The only down side for me was (1) the stark bright lighting hurt my eyes and left me with a screaming headache. The other (2) was the drinking water.

I dislike tap water, in the London area, purely on taste and the water on the ward tasted foul as though it had been dihydrated then reconstituted and diluted with something from the dark side of the waterworks!

Thank you for taking the time to post feedback about your experience at St George’s Hospital. Your kind words of appreciation about the excellent and very patient orientated care you received will be appreciated by the staff.

The managers of Richmond Ward and A&E will be informed.

Your comments on the drinking water will be sent to the estates manager.
