What could be improved
pass rellivent information to each other
This is not a comment but after trying for 4 months now to have some questions answered, i feel this is the only place where i may ,i came into your hospital after recieving shoddy treatment elswhere, hoping for a better outcome. I was very nervous and scared about the opperation, on booking in i was sent home as there seemed to have been a mixup, the hospital contacted me the following day and arranged for me to come in that afternoon. On arrival i tried to book in but it seemed that i had been already booked in from the previous day. I was ment to be on a sliding scale for 48hours prior to the bypass surgery to reduce my blood sugar(HB1C 11.9 TO BE UNDER 8 FOR THE OPERATION TO GO AHEAD) at the request of the surgeon. Later that day a member of the surgery team came to my bedside basicly to see if there were any questions i would like to ask, he was under the impression that i had been in since the sunday and was on the sliding scale to reduce the blood sugars so the opperation could go ahead, and now wasnt sure if the operation could continue and would have to speak with the surgeon i went home that evening. My main point is that there seems to be no information being passed to the relevant people more to the point requested proceedures are not being followed at your hospital. I am only writing this here because nobody even from your pals want to try to help and resolve these issues, so thhe surgery can be done i have lost all confidence in my treatmenteven before comming to the mri but hoped that they could help me through such a frightening time, i explained how frightened i was and assumed that with doing this type of operation daily that they would have understud and helped me through this. I`m now even more frightened and carnt seem to get any of my questions answered. Kind regards
