What I liked
the A+E department staff were brilliant,as were the staff on the admissions ward. The staff on ward 24 were very good except for the pain management doctor who i believe was above the team that was helping me control my pain, the Doctor was asked to come and see me on the ward, and at the time i was connected to a morphine drip which was helping. The Doctor came storming into the ward and before the Doctor even asked how i was feeling the Doctor demanded the drip and any other medication in the drip , to be taken down at once. The Doctor then began to walk out of the ward and then suddenly turned round and shouted that i had to learn to live with the pain,i was left very upset and crying and the other patients on the ward were disgusted with the attitude towards me.
I know that my pain may not mean much to the Doctor but has now left me with a fear of coming back to the hospital when i cannot cope with the pain.
I was under the care of one Doctor while on ward 24 and they were the only person who actually listened to me and kne how i felt.
My partner went to the nursing staff to see who the dr was that was so callous.
