I had to go to Gloucester A & E on Friday night.Have been a couple of times in six weeks.A & E staff all very good despite huge workload .I was transferred to the Acute Care Ward late at night.Quite an unsettling place I might say.I settled down as best I could but felt very sorry for the three older ladies in the ward with me who had various difficulties which was compromising their dignity. The nurse on duty did what they could.A little later another nurse arrived.I strongly wish to convey what a simply wonderful nurse they were.Every word that came out of their mouth was caring, concerned ,humourous, reassuring & positive.
The nurse treated these ladies with Rolls Royce standard of care.Literally nothing was in any way a problem .
The nurse lifted the whole ward by just their caring humourous attitude .It made me very happy to see the a person who was a huge asset to the Nursing Profession.I sincerely hope the nurse does very well in their career.
They are a very special person indeed.
