I called the ambulance service as my wife had fallen and she was neither able to get up nor was I able to lift her off the floor. We waited for about an hour and a half for the paramedic to arrive, when he did he was very apologetic and explained that people who had fallen but were otherwise OK were a lower priority than other cases involving injury. This was perfectly understandable.
He was able to help my wife get up and get her back on the bed and then did a number of tests to make sure she was ok. He then helped her to the bathroom and made sure she was able to manage without further falls. Nothing was too much trouble for him, was very reassuring and calming and treated my wife and I extremely well, he really was excellent.
"Paramedic was helpful"
