"Nurses at the Rehabilitation Unit seem to have lost their caring touch"

My sister is in the Phoenix Rehabilitation Unit. Staff would not listen when family said we wanted her transferred up and they said they would decide who her next of kin was.... talk about playing God! The nurses that care for my sister seem to have lost that caring touch...they seem to have no time for patients... we feel they are not interested in her welfare. My sister tells me she asked for the telephone to ring me and was denied it. She then asked for someone to write a letter telling me that she wasn't allowed to phone me. She dictated the letter but it wasn't posted. My sister has been left soaking wet. Ward sister seems to have forgotten why she went into nursing! I feel this is abusive! When my sister was left freezing cold I told her to ask for another blanket, she said no she would get into trouble! After our experiences, I would advise people to avoid this unit like the plague!
