Thank you for taking the time to make comments on your experiences whilst an inpatient at St. George's Park. We value feedback and use this to help to improve our services.

I am sorry to hear that you have had this experience while being cared for in our hospital. We aim to treat every patient with empathy and compassion, and to support them in all their needs. I am sorry to learn that you feel the staff did not care about your physical health needs and would like to take the opportunity to apologies for this.

We expect all staff to demonstrate our Trust values of compassion and respect in all aspects of their work.

In St George’s Park we aim to deliver holistic care, this includes managing both patient’s mental health and physical health needs. Physical health concerns are initially assessed by our ward doctors and appropriate treatment provided. If we are unable to meet the needs on site, appointments are facilitated at general hospital sites as required. We maintain the use of a car driven by nursing staff so that appointments of this sort can be reached in a timely manner, as we recognise this as an important aspect of care. I apologies that you feel like your physical health needs were not identified and responded to appropriately and any subsequent distress caused.

Thank you again for your comments. We welcome all patient feedback as this provides us with a valuable insight into how we can make everyone’s experience better and work to improve the quality of the service we offer to all.
