"Appendicitis"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

During my stay at Wilton ward and Sau at Salisbury I was treated horribly I was told by my doctor they were giving me one pain killer and the members of staff had administered something different, even the doctor said to me I don't know why they've done that but it was left as that.

A senior sister on Wilton ward told my mum they were too busy to get my a straw not long after arriving at the work following surgery claiming they were meant to finish two hours ago and asked my mum to wait prior to that I was also not acknowledged by any member of staff that I had even arrived onto the ward. Following these things, the same senior sister contained to talk down at me like they didn't care at all. Being part of the NHS myself I was shocked and very surprised at their attitude towards me as well as others. The last point I would like to mention is that the day after my sugrery nobody from my "team" had come down to see me and speak to me it wasn't until my surgeon found out nobody had bothered I actually heard from someone. (Not their job at all). I was horrified and disgusted at everyone behaviour and attitude during my stay at Salisbury hospital and that doesn't even include losing my consent forms and having to resign them during the theatre room! (No fault of my surgeon or theatre staff) intact they were amazing and my surgeon was again outstanding and went to the ward themself to find them and reassured me etc.

The time at the hospital is something I will no doubt never forget.
