"Wonderful staff on theatre annex ward"

About: Epsom Hospital

I went in for day surgery to have my gall bladder removed and went to the theatre annex. The nurse who looked after me was amazing. From the moment I arrived they put my mind at ease. They were cheerful and kind, explained everything clearly and nothing was too much trouble. I was impressed that they were there in a room with just three patients so they were able to look after all of us well. They even went to get me a warm blanket when I was cold. Going into theatre the nurse and anesthatist were just as cheerful and lovely and took away any anxiety I had. When I came out of surgery the same nurse was looking after me again. My surgeon came to see me to make sure I was ok and alI the staff were quick to reassure me that everything had gone to plan. I was allowed to rest and then the nurse made me cups of tea, ordered me a sandwich and got me more pain medication when they could see I was very uncomfortable. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in my procedure for their wonderful, personalised, care and for making a difficult day so easy.
