I was in Minster Ward for day surgery in November and every member of staff who spoke to me asked what I was having done and how it would be done, My answer was apparently not satisfactory as each time I was tutted at and corrected with a technical term. Was also made to feel stupid by a nursing asst who asked if I was having an injection today, I said I don't know I guess for anesthetic this was not what she meant she wanted to know if i was having a steroid injection. It also needs to be remembered by the staff that patients go through this process once whereas they do it multiple times a week so WE don't know what to do/whats happening.
Also in the paperwork I was given prior to coming in repeatedly told NOT to bring a mobile phone but on the day it was expected I had one to contact home; please review your pre admission advice.
