On my first stay I experienced problems with the spinal block and anaesthetic which produced hallucinations and recovery was hampered by sickness and intense pain.
On talking to my anaesthetist about my concerns (he did listen) and assured me that he would make certain I was I was safe and correctly 'under'. He was as good as his word and apart from a problem with 'shaking vigorously' for an hour in the recovery room, I experienced no hallucinations and was comfortable. My pain relief was carefully balanced and I returned home confident and happy with my stay.
The staff, without exception were kind, considerate, friendly and efficient and showed genuine concern for their patients. The food, although not visually attractive was hot, tasty and menus were and enough choice for anyone. I follow a vegetarilan, low diet but there was more than enough choices for me.
My consultant (Mr Shibu Krishnen) visited me twice during my stay and found all the clinical staff extremely approachable and re-assuring.
Thank you so much - I would certainly be happy to recommend H. W, Hospital to anyone who was planning a procedure.
Kindest regards.
