I went along for my 12 week scan, my first child.
Staff at reception and a nurse who took my blood were very friendly.
The member of staff who completed my scan, was miserable, probably been doing the job for 30yrs or so and for them it was just another scan, they didn't really talk me though what I was looking at on the screen, i asked questions and they gave me the shortest answer they could, i suppose as I hadn't had one before I didn't know what to expect but it wasn't until I left the hospital a friend asked if I'd listened to the baby's heartbeat, I was gutted I hadn't thought to ask and not noticed it was such a rush in there that I didn't notice. I would of thought that this member of staff needed to hear it! I don't know but I'll certainly remember it for the next scan.
