"A very positive experience"

I was treated as a Day Case in November 2015 for a laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair. My experience was a very positive one throughout - including the pre-admission assessment, the actual day case admission and surgery and the follow up appointment for removal of clips. All members of staff (nursing, phlebotomists, ECG Technicians, surgeon and anaesthetists) treated me with dignity, respect and the right level of friendliness and all procedures were explained fully to me and I was given every opportunity to ask questions. On all visits there was the minimum of delay - no long waits.

The physical environment was pleasant and very clean.

I experienced no pain following surgery and my recovery was uncomplicated.

The restaurant on site provided good quality food and was particularly valued by my wife whilst I was being treated.

I could not fault any part of my treatment or care and I would certainly recommend Springfield Hospital to any relatives or friends. A very positive experience from beginning to end.
