My mum came for an appointment in the rehabilitation department when arrived at the hospital I asked for a wheelchair as my mum was not good at walking for long distances as she ad a really bad sprained ankle and had also had a quadruple heart by pass and where took veins out of her legs left her very bad arthritis the volunteer was very helpful and pushed us down to the right department but when we got there said that they would after take the wheelchair back as they could not leave it with us which I think is wrong they said after my mums appointment we would have to ask at reception for someone to bring down a wheelchair but the reception came back to us and said that they had been trying to get hold of the volunteers but nobody was picking up we waited for about 15 mins then to be told that they could not get anyone to come we would after walk which I think is bang out of order when my mum ad these walking difficulties she found it hard walking back to the reception area and was very tired after this I think the wheelchair policy is very very poor with it been a big hospital at Dewsbury there is always a wheelchair and can be used for the patient until they have been to and from their appointment I'm very annoyed about this
