Was in hospital for induction. All staff were amazing on induction lounge. Taken to labour suite to have waters broken in the middle of night and was looked after by a lovely midwife. The midwife was really kind and also took care of my tired and hungry hubby, which I really appreciated! The doctor seemed a little stressed though, and I had to witness a bit of an intense discussion regarding something being labelled incorrectly and i didn't really want to be worrying about that having just been subjected to an intensely painful examination.
The next day we were cared for by a midwife and want to say a massive thank you to them as they were outstanding. Things happened incredibly quickly ( I didn't actually realise the baby was about to be born ) until they took control and calmed me down and then a baby appeared on my chest. I was so shocked as I thought I was waiting for an epidural! The baby had other ideas and flew out. The midwife was so calm and kind and built a good rapport with me and my hubby and we trusted them 100 percent. Just want to say thanks to everyone really, as compared to having a baby 7 years ago, this felt a bit like going to a hotel for a night. Sounds crazy but that's how well we were looked after!
